The ECA1 engine was used in the first-generation Honda Insight, as part of the car's Integrated Motor Assist gasoline-electric hybrid drive system. A three-cylinder engine, it displaces 995 cc (0.995 L; 60.7 cu in) and features a SOHC 12-valve head. The engine produces 67 hp (50 kW) @ 5700 rpm, 73 hp (54 kW) @ 5700 rpm (with IMA) and 67 lb·ft of torque @ 4800, 91 lb·ft of torque @ 2000 (with IMA) [1] supplemented in various circumstances by a 10 kW permanent magnet DC electric motor adding 13 horsepower (9.7 kW) and 16 lb·ft (22 N·m) torque throughout the entire rpm range.[WIKI]
