InboxDollars is one of the worst programs. Unlike others, they have a very short “6-months of inactivity and we’ll close your account and keep your money” term. Plus, you earn next to nothing. I too stopped getting paid emails and tried to unsuccessfully qualify for surveys. As such, I mostly did the big-ticket things, like signing up for money back on donations to charities. I accrued $98 and log in monthly to avoid the “inactivity” thing. But, guess what? They just closed my account for not completing anything in six months. They don’t even hold up their own definition of “activity”. So, user beware–withdraw when you can, even though UNLIKE the other programs, they charge a 3% fee on what you’ve earned. Sketchy, sketchy, sketchy.
Hi! I'm Jeff. A personal finance nerd and entrepreneur at heart, I'm here to bring you all the latest cool ways to make and save extra money. I've been quoted in several online publications, including Entrepreneur, NBC News, GoBankingRates, Student Loan Hero, Business.com, Credit Karma, The Simple Dollar, US News & World Report, Lifehacker, MSN Money, Moneyish, Zumper, IdeaMensch, Discover Bank, PrimeRates, Credit.com, Yahoo! Finance, Club Thrifty, Guru Focus, Rent Track, Fit Small Business, Coupon Chief, and more.
Not counting the profile survey, I attempted 38 surveys and qualified for seven of them. That’s an 18% success rate, which is on the low end among the 12 sites we tested. Most of the time, I’d immediately receive a disqualification notice with a link to a new survey opportunity. For a few surveys, I answered questions for a couple minutes before getting the boot.
I signed up for this site as recommended by a friend, and yes to be perfectly honest it’s a headache to gather the $30 earnings required to cash out but I have done so on several occasions over the past 10 years or so (I’m unsure just how long I have had my account.) My overall opinion of this site and it’s resources is very favorable. The emails pay me .02 for everyone I open, the surveys are indeed more effort than they are actually worth. However the fact that it is STILL FREE MONEY EARNED IN YOUR FREE TIME (No one in forcing you) makes it an overall worthy option. If you are seeking to earn more money become a professional and choose a career pertinent to intelligence and not free living.

Above all, thanks for that great article. I really enjoyed reading it all for the last 5 minutes with a mug of coffee! Despite this article being next to perfect, if I can, I’d like to add one of the best survey sites, in my mind, to this list. It would be, “ClixSense”. They’re a really old, and huge, presence in the research industry and have partnered with many of those listed in this very post. So, signing up on ClixSense lets you take paid survey invitations from multiple survey sites and research firms, like Opinion Outpost, Nielson Media Research, YouGov, I-Poll, MySurvey, Toluna and more. Almost half of all of those survey sites are listed here.

Totally not legit company. Yes it is possible to get a check from them.. But you can also not get it cause they randomly close your account when you get close to cashing out. Save yourself a lot of time and heartache when they don’t pay you out and go with a company like Swagbucks or any of the other legit ones that reward more fairly. Long story short I know enough about these pricks to advise anyone to avoid using their services. I personally had amounted almost enough money to cash out, and attempted to sign up for one of their Lyft offers. Lyft says they got the promo code and inboxdollars closed my account (gave me some bullshit excuse when I followed up on the promo code) and screwed me on the 100$ sign up bonus as well. So in my opinion, YOU SHOULD STAY AWAY FROM INBOXDOLLARS!

It seems like IBD has made several changes that benefit them financially and ends up taking away more of the minimal amount of money you earn to begin with. I have always wondered why they only allow a person 20 spins over a 24 hour period. Especially and in light of the fact you are lucky if 20 spins net you .5-.25 cents. I have been trying Cash Crate. And so far, no complaints.

I have been using InBox Dollars for months. I earned my first $30 and cashed out. I referred my Wife and she signed up and started doing surveys. Once I reached $75 and she reached her first $30 we cashed out. The next day both of our accounts was suspended. How convenient. We spoke with a Live chat agent to explain that the accounts are separate but they didn't care. They just hurried us off and ended the chat. Months of work all gone. INBOX DOLLARS IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!! Do not waste your time. They will use you for your services then find some reason to not pay you.
Another good thing about Tellwut is that, you don’t have to wait for survey invites via emails. You can simply log into your account at any time and take available surveys. The surveys are very short and simple. While many of the surveys can be completed in under a minute, some can take up to 10 minutes. Also, you can create your own surveys on the site.

Dear Dave, You should contact LiveChat for more assistance but an account can be deleted/removed for inactivity on the account for a period of 6 months or more of if the account was in a violation of the terms. Accounts are never randomly deleted without cause so if you reach out to LiveChat they can review and escalate your inquiry if further review is needed. We have more information in our Terms of Membership: http://www.inboxdollars.com/pages/terms

It’s easy! You answer online surveys and short polls right from your computer or smartphone. InboxDollars then rewards you with your choice of free cash or gift cards for popular brands. It’s easy to get paid for sharing your opinions, and we’re one of the best survey sites out there. Our members earn cash, not points for surveys. Since 2000, we’ve paid over $56 Million in cash rewards to our members.
Lately they keep disabling this service claiming I have an adblocker BUT I DO NOT! They advise me to make sure java, and flash player plugins are enabled. Which they are, the reenable this service just to disable it again. There’s a few problems with their scenarios a: enable java plugin – Mozilla no longer supports java. You have to download an older version to use java now. This version will support java until March 2018.
The survey sites online fall into three broad categories: (i) those that are outright scam sites that will only waste your time and not pay you after taking the surveys (ii) those that will pay only paltry amounts that do not justify the time spent on the surveys (iii) those with which you can earn decent additional income and get paid instantly through Paypal.

The conversion rate is: 1,400 points = $1.00. That means you’ll have $1.00 for joining and $2.00 for completing your profile. That’s $3.00 in the bag already. To earn more, you have to complete surveys you are invited for through emails. Like always, you’ll have to qualify before continue with a survey to completion. Unfortunately, Opinion Site does not give you anything if you care disqualified from any survey.
InboxDollars doesn't care to keep you as a customer because they realize most people once they reach the minimum $30 payout won't continue, because the amount of time required to earn pitiful tiny sums isn't worth it, so revoke your earnings as you reach the threshold is an intentional part of their dishonest business model. They offer no explanation and no flexibility and no reasonable business practices.

The name “inbox dollars” is somewhat revealing – they pay you simply to read your emails. All you need do is check your inbox and read the special offers sent to you, then click the button that confirms that you’ve read the mail, and you’ll be paid. You can get between 1 – 10 cents for every email you read. Active members usually get about 3 paid emails per day. Very often, you’ll be sent offers, and by signing up for these offers, you’ll earn more cash, which can be between $2.00 – $20.00.
Some users have also complained how after playing hours and hours of games on sites like Winster, their accounts were not credited, and upon contacting InboxDollars' customer support, were told that “it is not the company’s responsibility to determine playing time but the responsibility of their partners.” Some users have decried how after being inactive at InboxDollars for a few weeks or a month, their accounts were suspended and they were no longer able to receive paid emails.
I have had IB for months and it was very difficult to earn anything except pennies on scratch offs.. strike 1....hardly qualified for surveys and when I did they were long and a waste of time for 25 cents....strike2...finally got to the $30 mark to cash out, which is exactly what I did however I had no idea that they would charge you a process fee of $3 and you have to wait 3 weeks to get your money.... strike 3 for me. Now I have to wait and see if I get it.Total waste of time people. I use Swagbucks which is pretty good and Ibotta which I love and recommend, I literally have made $30 in a day with Ibotta depending on my shopping needs. IB is not good period
There are also some minor surveys called “Trait surveys” which you can take from time to time to boost your trait score. In these surveys, you’ll simply be providing more personal information about yourself, relating to ethnicity, health and medical condition, religious beliefs and viewpoints, political view points, purchase preferences etc. The good news is that, you not only boost your trait score by answering these trait surveys, but they also pay you. You’ll earn anything between $0.03 – $0.10 for each trait survey.
After InboxDollars acquired SendEarnings in 2005, a new holding company – CotterWeb Enterprises Inc – has since owned and operated both entities. InboxDollars also acquired DailyRewards, a Canadian company, in 2014. The company has a number of corporate associations with large companies like eBay, Stamps.com, Netflix, Target, H&R Block, Walmart and PCH (Publisher’s Clearing House).

HCD Research also use the point system. That is, they award you points for completing any paid activity on the site. The point system is a simple one in which $1 is equal to 100 points. The amount of points (read as money) you earn for each survey will vary for each survey, depending on its length and nature. However, on average, you will earn between 100 points to 500 points per study (which is between $1.00 to $5.00).

I'm a faithful inbox user. I've worked my butt off trying to make a little money. They have altered the bar. That we have to fill. Just to Make pennies. Now they have fixed my games . I can only play about 7 games then I dont get credit. The survey arrived . we can finish one then it says we dont quaify. We don't get paid often to complete offers... They rigged my whole experience so I can't make money. All this because I left a nd but truthful review on their app.thatdint work any more .because it's rigged now . when trying to watch videos , now we are forces to endure 2adds that sticks. Then the video won't work and it's a pop up says there's an error. I'm gonna stop I'm cashing out and I'm I'm done with them
Updating review. I have been with I.D. for a little over a month & have made $17. Because I qualify for more surveys here, I make more money than I do with other survey sites. I am sure I would have made more if I didn't have 5 other survey sites I have to try to visit while I am online. I don't get online everyday. There are a few pros and lots of cons to this site. We all know that taking surveys can be tedious, and this site has options to play some of their cheesy games for a few cents here and there. The games give me a break from the tedious surveys and I enjoy them. They also give money for using coupons through them. It is not a lot by any means, but what other survey site does that? Cents add up; don't you ever pick up pennies off of the ground? The cons on this site are signing up for supposedly free offers, it can lead to spam junk mail if you don't read the terms. I do not like spam junk mail. Nothing is actually "free" from any of the offers, minus some other survey sites. I cannot complete the bonus because I don't have FB. One big thing that concerns me is when I leave the tab for I.D. idling it creates a virus pop up window and that I do not like. I searched online to see if anyone else is experiencing that, but could not find anything. So if the virus thing happens again, I will block and unsubscribe from them.
I agree. It does take awhile to build up money, especially when doing surveys and paid emails. I shop a lot online and it adds up much quicker when you link it through inboxdollars. Also, I do print up the coupons and receive (it does take awhile to process) .10 per coupon. It has taken me 2 years but I have over $206.00 to claim. I, previously, have claimed and received $53.00.
Some websites, like eBay will pay you as much as $6 to sign up to their sites and place bids. Another website, Stamps.com, will pay you as much as $10 for signing up for their free trial program.  However, with the latter, if you do not cancel the free trial before expiration, then you will be billed monthly for their programs (in the case of Stamps, its $15.99 per month).
I agree with this. Inbox dollars is not a source to make a living income, it’s to provide EXTRA income. It’s possible to make the $30.00 in a month, or close to it, if you dedicate time to it, but it’s NOT easy(and not worth it if you have more going on in your life). I’ve been using them for years and have yet to encounter a problem with them. In fact, it’s better now than it was when I first started several years ago.

Ambassador users can request rewards once 1000 points ($10) is earned; Premium users can request rewards once 1500 points ($15) is earned; Verified users can request rewards once 2000 points ($20) is earned; and Basic users can request rewards once 2500 points ($25) is earned. In every case the maximum amount that can be cash out is 1,000 points ($100). You can request your reward via PayPal payment, virtual master card, or as Amazon gift cards.

Like other sites we tested, InboxDollars is a survey aggregator. So clicking on a survey opportunity typically redirects you to a third-party site. In most cases, I was led to a typical survey setup: starter questions about my age, gender and ZIP code, followed by either a disqualification or questions on a specific topic. A few survey topics I covered include McDonald’s, insurance and grocery stores.

Inboxdollars Review

One Poll is one of the popular online surveys pay cash instantly via Paypal that provide market survey exclusively. On the one hand, it means the only way you can earn in the site is by participating in surveys. On the other hand, by specializing in surveys, we’ll expect One Poll to lead in this area, than when their focus is divided to other areas.

so im a young teen who goes to high school and my parents won’t buy me clothing from my favorite artist “Tyler the Creator” his clothing brand is pretty expensive. Now my parents are really cheap people so you know I tried to get money on my own, the most they give me is like $10 for the whole week but taking the bus home everyday and buying food lunch takes the money away, I’ve used InboxDollars for like 1 month and only got $7.32 . ? Sad ain’t it. And the worst part is if U wanna take out money you have to wait until you get up to $30 to either check it or whatever

You can also earn if you shop in the many retailers listed in Inbox Dollars through a Cashback program. Many of the retailers give Cashback of up to 5%. You can also earn via coupons. There are a great number of coupons available in Inbox Dollars. Some of these coupons already gives you cash back for using them. On top of that, Inbox Dollars will credit you with $0.10 for every coupon you print and redeem.
First, thank you for providing this extensive list. I wanted to offer a quick follow up. After reading your post I decided to give Survey Junkie a try and I’ve already closed the account. Yes, I can tell it’s well organized and it is definitely a user-friendly platform. The problems I experienced were first that not one of the surveys they emailed me about were available. I did, however, complete several surveys from the site itself and I found them to be lengthy – in itself, not a problem, but 3 out of 5 told me I didn’t qualify after I’d already invested 10 – 12 minutes filling out the forms. They got more than enough information from me to be useful which is an old and highly unethical trick in market research – which happens to be my background. All in all, it was a LOT of wasted time.
I made about $280 over the 1st 4 months after joining. But I quickly learned that the higher the $ for a survey, the less likely you to qualify for it. So I would only do the 25 cent ones and only if I had an additional 25 cent spin. So a 10minute survey would pay 50cents but you are almost 100% assured of qualifying. I too got tired of getting to the end of survey, only to be disqualified for entering the demographic info. I was “watching” videos, because i found that some just looped,so if i was cleaning or cooking, I could turn them on for background noise. I made too much that way, so I was disqualified from watching additional videos. The offers are mostly scams, but not all of them. Again, the higher the payout, the more likelihood of not getting it. I eventually just ran out of ways to make money, and stopped all together. Put inboxpennies is a hilariously accurate description. I ended up making about $2-3 an hour. Another bad thing is that if you do make more than $300 in a calendar year, they want your tax info, and I wasn’t willing to give them that.
As InboxDollars connects advertisers and consumers in a mutually beneficial fashion, there are limitless cash-earning options via signing up for various offers and newsletters. For example, you can earn $0.25 and beyond by opting in for free samples, $3 reward if you sign up for Target Redcard and a whopping $20 just by signing up for the Fabletics membership.
