Pesticides and the Law > Pesticides Label

Product Rates
Example:
Apply a 0.5% mixture of Ka-Boom! (6.4 fluid ounces in 10 gallons of water).
Every label will provide the product rates to be applied. In many cases products will give you a range. It is allowed to put out LESS than the recommended rate, but you can never put out more than the maximum allowed rate on the label.
In many cases for specific pests, and if application condisitons are optimum, a cut rate can sometimes be used and still succefully control the pest. It is always best to consult a specialist to identify minimum rates for specific pests and conditions.
However, if you put out less than the manufacturer's recomended rates, the manufacturer cannot be blamed if the product does not control the pest.
