Health Precautions > Responding to Exposure
A parents worst nightmare has come to life. A child has swallowed some pesticide from a container that was not stored safely.
How do you respond?
Induce vomiting | Don't induce vomiting | Check the label | Call the poison center |
Great Answer!
Depending on the pesticide involved, what to do when someone swallows it can be very different. Assumptions on whether to induce vomiting or not might cause more problems. You should always either check and follow the first aid instructions on the label or call a poison control center. Remember what that number is?
This is one of the reasons why labels should always be with the container.
