Grass Grasses belong to a group of plants called monocots. All grasses are monocots, but not all monocots are grasses. When grass seeds germinate they produce ONE cotyledon or seed leaf. Grasses generally have narrow leaves, paraelled veins, have fibrous and are two ranked.
