You have a choice, you can either orally notify your non-family agricultural workers or you
can post the WPS sign. Wait! Are you chemigating, if so you will also need to post chemigation signs.


The WPS Sign.

WHO: The agricultural employer (i.e. farmer) is responsible for this sign.

WHERE: Has to be posted at all entrances to treated sites.

WHEN: Must be posted before treatment and remain until the REI has expires. The have to be removed no more than 3 days after REI has expired.

If you are chemigating then you will need to post this sign also.

WHO: The person operating the chemigation system is responsible for postin chemigation signs.

WHERE: Post signs at all enterences to chemigated site and at 1/4-mile intervals along border of road or sensitive area.

WHEN: Must be posted before treating and until chemigation stops and treated surfaces are dry. Signs may be posted indefinitely.
NOTES:

If you employ non-family agricultural workers, then you must follow the Worker Protection Standards (WPS). Workers must be made aware of areas that have had pesticides applied on them so that they are not at risk of being exposed to pesticide residues.
