THE STORY
Carrie Gooper, the sheriff of Cash Canyon, has a big problem. She receives a telegram from John DeRange of the Loose Change Gang,
challenging her to a showdown at high noon because the bank has run out of money! Sheriff
Gooper has to learn all about money to be ready for John DeRange.
She meets her friend Blabby Daze and Wild Bill Hitchcock, the movie producer. Blabby tells Carrie about what money is and how we
use it. Wild Bill informs her that it takes money to do all sorts of things and the importance
of learning how to save. He tells her that by putting aside a little bit every time she gets
some, she’ll have money in the future.
Finally, it’s showdown time and Carrie meets John DeRange. He tells her the money in the bank is nearly gone because the good people of Cash
Canyon have been spending, but not saving. Can Carrie convince the good people of Cash Canyon
that if there is money in the bank, they will be able to do many of the things they want to do?
