How to Clean Ladies Wedding Shoes by Trevor Richards Today’s bride can get wedding shoes in just about any fabric. Most future brides love to purchase shoes which can be made of silk or satin. Whatever the fabric, however, wedding shoes are a good investment. So, when laying out major bucks for your one big day, unless you are the Princess of Wales or anyone who has money of burning, you may be going to wear your shoes again. Most brides find that after the wedding almost always there is something that has soiled or stained their shoes. When this occurs, its best to take your shoes to some professional cleaner and have them cleaned as soon as possible. However, when the cost of cleaning with a professional is simply not in the budget, there are several other ways to regenerate your shoes fot it pre wedding status. Depending on the fabric, below are a few tips on how to clean women wedding shoes and keep them looking good for years: How To Clean Wedding Shoes - Bicarbonate of soda will work wonders with regards to any fabric. Especially when looking to clean white. Take your shoes and pour bicarbonate right then. Allow the soda to soak in the stain. When the foaming stops, gently brush the region with a toothbrush. If the stain has not yet diminished completely, do this again until the stain has disappeared. How to Clean Wedding Shoes - For stains that have not been able to set, baking soda is the one other amazing cleanser. Prepare a paste of of baking soda of baking soda and water. Place the mixture on the stain. If the stain is large and encompasses a lot of the shoe, make an adequate amount of the mixture to cover the entire shoe or both shoes. Cover these shoes and allow the paste to dry to the stain. After drying, require a toothbrush and gently brush the paste over shoe. When the paste continues to be removed, have a damp, clean cloth and take off the remaining paste, being sure to remove all the remainder mixture in the shoe(s). Make siure there's no remaining residue for the shoes. How To Clean Wedding Shoes - Mix a mild fabric detergent with water mixture together in a tiny bowl. Take a tooth brush and wipe the spot clean by utilizing gentle strokes from the brush. Be careful not to damage the fabric. When the spot has become removed, take a soft, clean, damp cloth and wipe the area clean. Make sure all detergent has been removed. Allow the shoe to air dry. Note: Never try to clean ‘dyed’ shoes all on your own. If your wedding shoes were dyed, it’s best to have them cleaned by a professional dry cleaner. Also, never place any shoe in water. Placing a full shoe in water will destroy the shoe. If you are not sure you'll be able to clean your shoe or if the stain on your own shoe has been permitted to set, take your shoe to your professional dry cleaner. Allowing a stain setting may cause the stain to get permanent. It's always far better to remove a stain immediately.Trevor Richards writes for Queens & Bowl ( a UK retailer of females wedding shoes. |
