What Type Of Running Shoes Should I Purchase I need to talk today concerning the type of running shoes to purchase or in addition to this the shoes I purchased. When I first starting running I had no idea what kind of shoes I needed. Being an athlete I thought I knew but I didn't. I really was not ever a runner in high school. I played more team sports so I just ran in whatever shoe I had. Boy was I wrong. The first time I ran truth be told I ran in most basketball sneakers. Now I was much younger and my body was very forgiving. I thought didn't think too much about it until 1 day I was wondering why are my feet were sore. So I attended the sports equipment store and asked them. Of course they wanted to sell me the more costly pair that they. Being young I didn't know much better and purchased them. Now initially my feet felt superior but eventually they did start to hurt again. I couldn't figure it out. Why is my feet hurting when I bought this expensive pair of sneakers. I did some research and back then the internet wasn't what it is today. I checked out some magazines and ran across articles that talked about gait. What the heck was gait? Well arrive at find out I discovered that I was what you call a neutral foot runner. This means I don't run on the outside or in my foot. Ok so what can I do now? The shoes I had purchased was for someone who overpronated. So I went back on the sports store and purchased another pair of athletic shoes for a neutral runner. I said there you go now you will be all set. Again I was wrong. Even though I had a neutral pair of jogging shoes I didn't believe there was enough cushion. I eventually found that even though I had a neutral foot I needed something by incorporating cushioning to it. Now there is various shoes on the market for this. If you ask one runner they will recommend this shoe or that shoe. I tried various them. In closing what I want to say is it does not matter which shoe you choose it has to fit right for you. Now I am considered a Clydesdale runner (over 200 lbs.), and still have liked the excess cushioning shoe. There are many to choose from but find the one that you will like. Some runners such as this brand or that brand yet it's what is right in your case. My brother, the triathlete, carries a certain brand he likes and I had used it but didn't like them. The biggest problem you'll face on the streets is finding what works in your case. |
