Mountain View College offers a variety of cultural activities and personal enrichment opportunities for students, faculty, staff, area residents, and community members. Specifically:
- Cultural Events: Each year, Mountain View College hosts a variety of concerts, art exhibits, guest lectures and theatrical performances. Everyone is welcome to attend the events and most are offered free-of-charge. Events are commonly held in the 425-seat Performance Hall, the Cliff Gallery (a beautifully designed exhibition space used to display artwork by local, regional and nationally known professional artists) and the Kiva Gallery featuring student art and photography exhibitions.
- Health and Fitness: Students and community members have access to multiple health and fitness opportunities using MVCs gymnasium, weight rooms, exercise rooms, Olympic-sized swimming pool, new state-of-the-art fitness center, and a jogging/walking trail with exercise stations. A 2,000-seat soccer/football stadium is located onsite, in addition to baseball and softball diamonds, soccer practice fields, and tennis courts. MVC also promotes healthy living by hosting an annual "Wellness Day" for students and community members.
- Environment: Mountain View College's 200-plus acres of stunning scenic beauty is enhanced by a wildlife sanctuary, which was the first urban wildlife sanctuary certified by the Humane Society of the United States on a college campus. This beautiful acreage forms the "Outdoor Classroom", which is open to any student or community member and includes woodland trails, and Blackland Prairie. Mountain View College also offers a 'Slow Food Community Garden' for area residents, providing them with a place to plant and cultivate their own foods. Recycling stations are located around the campus, and recycling fairs and Earth Day events are annually provided to all students, area residents and community members.
- The Emeritus Center: In partnership with the Dallas County Health and Human Services 'Older Adult Services Program', Mountain View College has an Emeritus Center located just inside the main campus. The Center provides an interactive community for Dallas County residents 60 years and older.
