About Pesticides > Question 3

I have found this site on the internet that sells fungicides REAL cheap! Whoo-hoo! The only problem is that the pesticides are not registered in the US. Can I still use them?

Correct!

If the pesticide has not been registered by the EPA, it means that it has not been assessed for the risks that it might pose on the user, environment or those around you. Therefore it is illegal to use this pesticide in the US.

There are some pesticides that use natural oils and common use active ingredients called "minimum risk pesticides" that may not have EPA registration numbers. These use active ingredients such as corn gluten meal, cedar oil, common salt and others. Although these are marketed and used as pesticides they are not regulated like other pesticides.
