The Power of the Sun
 
The sun's energy will literally break the chemical bonds of the pesticide molecule.
 
The pesticide is broken down into smaller components. This is called photodegredation.

Have you have ever left a newspaper or sweater in the back window of your car? After a few summers you notice that it is faded and falls apart easily, that is the same process that breaks down the pesticide. No? I guess I need to clean my car out!
