USING THE WORKBOOKS
NTC uses differentiated learning concepts to create activities for the workbooks. This means that within each workbook there are activities that use different ways to teach and reinforce
the same information. Additionally, this Teacher Guide has activities that emphasize the 4Cs of 21st Century Education Skills–Collaboration, Communication, Creativity and Critical Thinking. This allows you to tailor the learning to meet all the needs and abilities of your entire class. The workbooks are divided into basic through advanced activities. You may select the activities that are appropriate for each student and encourage
them to work on the other activities at home with their families.
In an effort to assist educators, NTC takes the time to make sure our programs align with educational standards. These are some of the national educational standards with which the Showdown At Cash Canyon program aligns:

Allowance
Money given; usually for doing chores
Bank
A place where money can be saved or borrowed
Circulation
Money that is in use by people today; money that is being saved and spent is in circulation
Credit Union
A not-for-profit financial institution owned by
its members
Debt
Money owed
Deposit
Giving the bank money to save for you
Income
Money that comes in, such as a paycheck or allowance
Interest
Money the bank pays you to keep your money there
Mint
A place where money is made
Money
What is used as payment for goods and services
Paycheck
The money that is paid to you by your employer
Saving
Setting aside money for use at a later date
Security
The state of being free from danger or injury
Withdrawal
Taking out the money the bank was saving for you
