Release 7.3.5

3/30/10

 Key Bug Fixes

Various bug fixes are included in this release.  The following is a list of key fixes by application area.

Please contact customer support for the status of any specific Astra Schedule case number.

 Area:        Calendar

Grid View:  Corrected room row alignment when multiple activities are scheduled and displayed with overlapping times.

Calendar:  Corrected a filter issue causing extra activities to appear based on their use of resources.

 Area:        Conversion

Conversion:  Updated conversion routine to properly convert booked resource quantities.

 Area:        Courses

Batch Section Import:  Corrected a key value during course record insertion to include the institution ID.  This problem was causing courses to not appear on the course list after import.

 Area:        Events

Room Effective Dates:  Corrected a problem where the wrong effective version of a room was being referenced by imported sections, allowing double books by subsequent activities.

Event Status:  Corrected a room usage problem that was retaining room scheduling for setup and teardown times associated with cancelled meetings.  This was causing rooms to be unavailable and therefore event meetings were incomplete.

Event Quick Form:  Event times from short form (from calendar) are now being copied forward when jumping directly to the full event form.

 Area:        LDAP

LDAP authentication:  Corrected a problem with the encoding of the LDAP path that was causing the authentication to fail if there were spaces in the OU.

LDAP integration:  Corrected an issue preventing new users added via LDAP integration from getting appropriate security profiles applied.

 Area:        Manage Requests

Event Request Approval:  Corrected an Oracle‑only problem that was allowing double booking of rooms through the event request approval process.

Approver Group:  Corrected a problem that was still allowing users to manage requests after being removed as an approver.

 Area:        People

People Merge:  Corrected a merge error caused when missing contact information was loaded into the merge form.

 Area:        Portal

Portal:  Corrected an Oracle‑only error when editing the Event List web part on the portal page.

 Area:        Reports

Report:  Event report view was corrected to prevent duplicate activities on some reports depending on data grouping.

Reports:  Corrected a MS SQL‑only error encountered when running the "Sections by Selected Instructor for Selected Term" report.

 Area:        Security

Academic Security:  Corrected a problem with academic section editing profiles.  Users with a profile were being allowed to add and edit any subject ‑ not just the one in their profile.

 Area:        System

Browser Support:  IE8 added as a supported browser.  Initial testing has revealed no browser‑specific issues.

 Area:        Users

Change Password:  Forced change of password now works correctly.

 Known Limitations

 Area:        Calendar

Browser Support:  The Calendar functions are not currently compatible with Safari.  We are investigating options for an update to the Calendar control that will support Safari in a coming release.

 Area:        Holidays and Announcements

Holiday Section Conflicts:  Section meeting instances are cancelled and flagged as exceptions upon section creation.  However, at this time, holiday configuration actions that should impact existing section records will not perform this work.  Holidays that block section meetings must be created before sections are created.

 Area:        People

People records cannot currently be searched via email address.  This is expected to be resolved in the 7.4.0 release.

 Area:        Report Subscriptions

Report Subscription:  Reports to be included in a report subscription may not include sub‑reports in their design.

 Area:        SIS/ATE

After importing events via the Excel import utility, customer data must be re‑exported to ObjAcct before users can effectively access Events and Customer related functionality.
