Hence, late on the third day I approached the place where I had left the lifeless shell. I
tentatively prodded its wheel and was encouraged to see the light of the apple emerge. I
selected a track – what song would best fit this situation? No time to be picky I decided and
simply hit ‘Shuffle’. The magical triangle ‘play’ lit up and the countdown began. Soon the
numbers moved and the sweet sound of Van Morrison music once again filled my day.
Nothing lasts forever and in time, despite its recovery, it died again. But this time, it was a
natural and painless death. A little later, I bought an iPod accessory that allows the user to
strap it securely to the body of the user.
Activity:
• After reading the story twice, make a list of the HoM that you can see (individual)
• Share your list of HoM with two other people (triplet). See which Habits you
commonly identified in the story and which ones you did not.
• Allow each person an opportunity to explain why they identified those Habits
(triplet)
• As a larger group, identify the HoM that were common and those which were not.
Which HoM did the majority identify? Which HoM were not identified at all?
